Hi, I'm Amanda (aka Manz).

It can easily be said that food has had a huge impact in my life from a young age.

Food for me has been more than just nutrition, but a cultural experience. Since I can remember food has always been about gathering with others and getting to know each other on a deeper level. 

I created Gourmanz as a way to capture my love for at-home cooking, travel, and mindfulness with a focus on approachable healthy living. Feel free to explore and follow my journey.

My work expertise has been in recipe development, food styling (photo and video), and on-air talent. After working as a Line Cook in New York for Lupa (Batali & Bastinach Hospitality Group),  I finished a Test Kitchen Fellowship program in Birmingham, AL for the Time Inc. Food Studios and. freelanced as a recipe developer and food stylist for various companies (Publix, RealSimple, Cooking Light, Southern Living, Health, PeachDish and more). I currently reside in New York as a culinary production assistant for ABC's The Chew.
